Dr Giorgos Georgiou M.D received the title of Obstetrician Gynaecologist at the Papageorgiou University Hospital in Thessaloniki in 2012. He was then trained in the minimally invasive methods of Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy at the Royal Free Hospital London for one year. Since 2013 he has been practicing private medicine in Cyprus, and tries to keep caesarean section rates low, as he often says, “There must be a real indication to have a caesarean section, like other operations in medicine”. He also uses his skills in Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic approach in most of his operations, since through these methods the postoperative pain and recovery time of the woman are reduced.
