In 1982 Dr Demetris Papapetrou became a founding member of Mother and Child Medical Center, alongside Dr Yiannakis Papageorgiou, and has since served the Medical Center as a Senior Specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist. His primary concern has always been the provision of high-quality health services, with particular emphasis on the anthropocentric approach. Dr Papapetrou graduated from Humboldt University in Berlin, receiving his medical degree in 1973. He specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Friedrichshain University Hospital, Berlin, receiving his specialisation in 1978. From 1978 to 1982 he served as a registrar at the obstetrics and gynaecology clinic in Passau Germany, one of Munich’s University Hospitals.
